No matter the day, AADD’s motto is to “engage, protect, and teach” as we provide supports to individuals served to maintain and increase their maximum independence in the community. To be successful as an AADD Direct Support Professional, you should be proactive in meeting the health and safety needs of individuals served, be a positive role model, be creative in identifying community-based activities, and have a good sense of humor. Most importantly, you should have a fun story to tell at the end of the day!
